Fall in the Mountains

This is an example of the beauty last year and the year previous. Unfortunately, this year we have yet to see any color at all. There are a few leaves falling but not many changing. We're hoping for some "color" soon!!

The weather has been wonderful for the most part. A fantastic time to be in the mountains whether you're playin' golf, or hiking, or just relaxing and taking in the natural beauty and fresh air. Those of us who live here are, of course, are pretty spoiled. I do however, make myself aware of how great it is to live here and enjoy the beauty and splendor of these mountains and the small towns in them.

Grand children will be here soon for a few days, along with their folks of course. Then, some more family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We're lookin' forward to it big time.

Ya'll come see us!

Monday Mornin' !

Wedding over the weekend in Norcross so we've been gone for a couple days. Also last week, a new little 4 legged "Fisher" was added to the family. Meg the dog has found a home.

Jack Russell and Chinese Crested Puff something or other. 4 months old and a good little dog.
We're enjoying her and getting used to having a "baby" around again.

Family in from Alaska for the wedding as well. Enjoyed our time together.

Enjoy this Day!

So Sorry. I've been remiss in updating this blog. Not sure I have enough to say or enough news to do it daily. Perhaps I should try weekly.

Cold coming for Easter. Work on the house continues. Business is near standstill.

Otherwise, all is well.

Points of interest: He who dies with the most toys is nonetheless dead.
The original point and click interface was a Smith and Wesson.
Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.
God must love stupid people; He made so many.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.
I smile because I don't know what the hell is going on.

Have a great Easter and weekend.

Enjoy this day!

Good Mornin' All,

It's another awesome morning here in the mountains! Spring sunshine, trees flowering, temps on the way to 78. Great day to be alive.

Interest rates are again, slowly, creeping back down. Good time to consider a place here in Rabun County.

Enjoy this day! Let me know if I can help.

Good Mornin' All,

It's a beautiful Monday here in the mountains, following a phenomenal weekend of warm temps and sunny skies. If you didn't come to look for a property here you really missed a great opportunity.

As you can probably figure, I'm new to this "blog" thing and still learning. I'll try to come up with better "content" and some more informative material that will help some of you decide about the Rabun County area.

Sales have been somewhat slow here and there are a number of "motivated" sellers in all areas.

Enjoy this Day!!!

Mornin' Everyone,

After a week of great fun in Savannah and visiting our friends in Florida, we're back to the beautiful mountains of Northeast Georgia.

Really enjoyed our overnighter in Savannah and certainly had a great time visiting with friends in Tavares, Osprey, and Nokomis, Florida. Enjoyed the weather and some sights we hadn't seen before and to many great meals.

It's a glorious morning here in the mountains; sun shining and spring like temps on there way to the upper 60's today.

The market here is a bit more active than it has been the last few months.

Enjoy this day! And may the good Lord take a likin' to ya. But not to soon.

Spring Ahead!

Good Mornin' World,

Set your clocks ahead one hour at 2:00 AM on Sunday morning, March 11, 2007.

It's also a good time to change batteries in your smoke alarms if they're battery powered.

Did you know that Benjamin Franklin first conceived of the idea of Daylight Savings Time?

Enjoy this day!

Mornin' Everyone,

It's a glorious morning here in the mountains. Temp is 38, winds are calm and the sun is shining big time. Should see a high today of 68.

Miss Robin and Old Dad hung drapes in the master bedroom last night. Glad to have that little spasm over with. Looks nice and finishes the room off. Just a few pictures and such to hang now and that room will be done.

Open house today at three different properties. Not sure if I'll make them or not.

Enjoy this day!.
